Job Recruitment Ads

I was to choose two Recruitment Ads that I thought were the most effective, these are the ads I chose:

I feel as if this is an obvious one, it's full of history, and even back in the day it was very effective and caught thousands of different people eyes. It's colors are attractive and patriotic and it's not too busy. Which makes it nice to look at and something someone actually wants to stop to take the time to read.

 and last but not least:

This ad instantly caught my eye. Between the colors on it and the graphics, it's just a very catchy ad. It's also adorable, so there's that. Like I said in the previous ad, it's not too busy and it's eye catching. It's something people will take the time to look at because it's so easy to read.

Outdoor Advertisements

For this weeks post I was required to go out and take pictures of outdoor advertisements. Unfortunately I never found the time to do so, so I just looks on the internet to find interesting outdoor ads.
The questions I must answer for each of the following pictures:
1) are the creative executions eye catching? why or why not?

2) Can you comprehend the messages in a few seconds?

3) where are the ads located? are they in good locations? why or why not?

This billboard is an eye catcher. The bright red color of the ad makes it easy to discover. It's a very clever ad with the ladder going to the end of the straw making it look like someone drank the giant glass of Coke. The message is obvious. It looks like it may be in a location that is not quite busy, but either way it will catch all eyes so I think that makes up for it.
This billboard is actually pretty awesome, it has the effect of a hand coming through the material and grabbing the beer. The message is pretty clear, drink Heineken, and it looks as if it's in a more populated city, probably where there are a few bars around, making it a good location.

This ad is definitely eye catching. You can't tell me that you've never been curious when it comes to accidents. This is very attention getting with the crash, and the message is very VERY clear. I looks like it may be right by a highway which would make it a good spot.

X-Scream Magazine

http://extreme.com/ is a site which gives you the best high quality extreme sports videos. I think the advertising for X-Scream Magazine should be a banner on the top of the website.

http://extremefreestyle.wordpress.com/2008/05/24/list-of-extreme-sports/ lists off any extreme sport you would like to know more about. I believe the advertisement should be on either of the blank sides of the page considering they're both empty spaces.

The websites I chose are both good fits because they match what the target audience would want to be reading about, or watching videos about. My banner would have a motocross racer, like in the picture above, as the main image, with big bold letters "X-Scream Magazine, extreme sports magazine." I believe this alone would make viewers click on the banner to see what the magazine is about.

You "like" this company...

Chili's Facebook page is doing things right by putting our best deal right in front of the customer's face. The triple dipper is usually $14.99, as you can see it's currently $9.99 for a limited time only.

Forever 21 captures the customer's attention by putting the trendiest models that would attract any fashionista's attention.

Nike's Facebook page is actually quite boring, to be honest. I don't think they have enough color in it, all you really see it black and white and it doesn't capture your attention.

DUD:

to the right there's a newspaper with the headline, 'Woman marries man she accuses of assault' which is a very interesting title.
The picture underneath the article is of the Royal Couple Will and Kate, making it look like they are the married couple the article above is talking about... which makes that headline very ineffective.
